Actor-producer Nikhil Nanda, who was last seen in “Aakhri Sach”, feels that the desire for instant popularity is one of the reasons why many people indulge in harming animals. Not to forget that money also plays a driving force in engaging in such activities.
He said, “I feel a lot of the cruelty that we see in today’s world is attributable to two points – one is the intent of the culture where people are getting more and more glued to money than anything else, and the biggest driver and motivator remains to be money, so in some way or another that leads to loss of human emotions, and when you lose the human emotions, you become more like an animal, which is survival of the fittest.”
“I guess the second part is that people always look for breaking news, and good news never makes for breaking news, only bad news does, so that’s another reason why people are behaving, feeling, and seeing the way they are,” he added.
Nikhil believes that people are becoming emotionless and are blindly doing anything for money.
“Cruelty to animals is because of loss of human emotions which has happened due to blindly following the quest for money. However, another reason is animals can’t speak and the frustration level of people has gone very high and very little patience. This leads to their anger which comes out on animals,” he said.
