A festival that brings children and parents together, makes family dinners special and memorable and reminds us to drop a text to our forgotten friends, Diwali is a chance to reconnect with lost memories and friendships and to spend time with family.
Abhishek Kapur opens up about his thoughts on this glorious festival. He says
“The sound of laughter ringing in everyone’s ears, lamps adorning the pathways to homes, amazing Indian wear and attire are all the things I love about Diwali but the one thing that is really close to my heart is the feeling of overwhelming love and emotion upon meeting family and friends. Since I stay in Mumbai now …it feels superb to go back home to Delhi and spend time with family and old friends. It’s a much needed and exciting annual break from shoot where I make plans to go out and meet as many people as I can and eat Delhi food. I also love to send out gifts and end up receiving a lot of fun hampers during this time of the year.
I make it a point to not indulge in bursting crackers since I hate crackers. I feel that the smoke created is harmful to the environment and causes too much pollution. So I request everyone to stay away from it and have a wonderful Diwali. Spend time with family and friends and have an amazing time.
