Actor Sachin Parikh is taking the path of Pratik Gandhi and Vikrant Massey as doing unconventional roles is becoming their forte. After Main Atal Hoon, the actor is back on screen with his latest film being released last week, titled ‘Bajrang Aur Ali’. On asking about the feedback on his performance, as Ali, he says, “Whoever has seen the film, has given a lot of appreciation as far as my performance is concerned. Even the director/actor, Jaiveer, has been praised for his work and direction. The film is being loved in small towns. We are still waiting for the outcome from the metro cities.“
Sachin also adds, “Some of my Muslim fans and audience liked my nuisance as Ali in the film. They said I spoke perfect Urdu wherever required and also thought that in terms of the look, of Ali was perfect. It could actually connect and relate to a small town man who hails from a middle class muslim family.”
Sachin also shares a particular incident where the unit faced challenges during shooting. He says, “We had a lot of challenges shooting for the film in Ujjain. As Ujjain is a pilgrimage, home to the Mahakal temple, lots of devotees come across the country to Ujjain. And the entire shoot was placed in and around this area. There was one scene where we had to shoot the sequence in the market and there were around 10,000 people watching the shoot. It was quite a challenge to shoot that part. I had to actually request them to stay calm and not to create any disturbances. Fortunately the locals were very supportive and even the authorities helped us to complete the schedule smoothly.”
Sachin also shares his thoughts on how he takes the film’s success or failure. He says, “As an actor, I don’t think much about the outcome. I do my work with a hundred percent commitment and leave the rest to destiny. I definitely move on after the release but at the same time wait for the reviews from critics, people from the fraternity, media and also from the audience for my next plan of action.”
