Baani confronts the hospital dean, but the situation worsens, and the dean angrily threatens to discharge Mannat. Amar Singh Sodhi, a famous newspaper reporter, overhears the conversation between Baani and the dean. Baani warns the dean that his staff’s negligence will be published in the newspaper. To avoid this, the dean offers her services at another big hospital in Chandigarh and compensates her with Rs. 30,000.
On their way to Chandigarh, Balwant stops their car and demands repayment of his loan. Baani’s father, Satish, gives Balwant the key to their village house as a guarantee. Baani and her family move to a new rented house in Chandigarh and start looking for jobs.
