Embracing compassion: Gurpreet Singh’s inspiring message on building a kinder world

Actor Gurpreet Singh, who became a household name as Sujal in “Kahiin Toh Hoga”, is really saddened to see the rampant crime against not just animals but humans too. The actor who is currently part of the show Vanshaj feels that we should be empathetic towards everyone.

He said, “It’s really sad to see a lot of bad stuff happening, not just to people but also to animals. Every day, when you check the news or social media, it’s all about crime and cruelty. It can mess with your mind.”

The “Chaand Jalne Laga” actor also spoke about the incident where a man risked his life taking a selfie with a lion. He added, “There was another news about a dog getting hurt at a spa. Cases of people hurting themselves or others are really upsetting. It’s just wrong, and it makes me feel disappointed and disturbed.”

He feels that this behaviour is because people have forgotten how to be kind. “Figuring out why people act so cruel is tough. Maybe it’s because of stress, mental health problems, or just not caring about others. To stop or reduce this, we need to do things like educating people, raising awareness, and supporting mental health. As a society, we need to look at ourselves and see where things went wrong. We should focus on being kind, understanding mental health better, and caring for both people and animals. Together, we can make our world a more caring and better place,” he said.

Gurpreet urges everyone to be compassionate and become understanding and kind towards everyone. He added, “Whether it’s that little furry friend eagerly waiting for your return or the person with whom you’ve decided to share your life, they deserve respect and care.”

“Let’s take a pledge today – to choose love over violence, to treat our loved ones with affection, patience, and, most importantly, to make responsible choices. Don’t let frustrations dictate your actions, instead, let love guide your behavior. Our actions matter, and by taking responsibility, we can create a world filled with love and compassion,” he ended.
