Five powerful scenes from ‘Woh Toh Hai Albelaa’ that left a big impact

In a world that revolves around women, Rajan Shahi took to the screen to portray a beautiful story of three brothers and the bond that they share through his show “Woh Toh Hai Albelaa”. The show, which is produced under his banner Director’s Kut Productions, went on-air April 14 on Star Bharat. It has since then been appreciated for its beautiful storyline and the power-packed performance by the ensemble cast that has managed to strike a chord with the audience. And even though the show is just 20 episodes old, it has already given some strong and impactful scenes. Here are five scenes from “Woh Toh Hai Albelaa” that deserve an applause.

1) The introduction scene: They can bring the drama, but no one can bring the majestic grandeur that Rajan Shahi can through his dance sequences. For the introductory song shoot, the ace producer took the team to Hyderabad and shot it in three days. The larger than life picturisation where the three Chaudhary boys are dancing to “Dhating naach” can make anyone put on their dancing shoes. It is definitely one of the most colourful and vibrant sequences on television today.

2) Cheeru slaps Kanha: The USP of the show is the bond between the three brothers – Cheeru, Kanha and Nakul. They love each other dearly and can even give their life for one another. But when Kanha learns about Cheeru and Sayuri’s relationship, he vows to separate them because he feels Sayuri will break their family. He follows her all day leaving no stone unturned to trouble her. At last, Sayuri opens up about this to Cheeru and he gets mighty upset with Kanha and slaps him. A slap from his Cheeru bhaiya came as a big shocker for Kanha, especially because Sayuri too witnessed it. Shaheer Sheikh’s performance was nothing less than that of a lion who was inching closer to his prey but was left wounded in the process.

3) When Kanha realises he did a blunder: After a slap from Cheeru bhaiya, Kanha grows more vengeful and locks Sayuri in a temple thinking her to be alone. It was much later that he realised he had locked not just Sayuri but Cheeru too and ran to their rescue. It was too late by then and both the families got to know about Cheeru and Sayuri’s relationship. When Cheeru learns that it was Kanha who locked them, he did not say a single word and left from there. Kanha then realises that he has made a big mistake which has almost ruined the two families. No doubt Shaheer is the most imperfectly perfect albelaa of the show as he brings his dialogues to life.

4) Sayuri’s emotional outburst: Remember the scene from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam where Nandini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) reacts to her family’s decision of separating her and Sameer (Salman Khan)? Well, Sayuri did something similar in the show when her and Cheeru’s family got to know about their relationship. She tells her mother that she can’t live without Cheeru and if they don’t agree for their marriage, she won’t marry anyone and will become Cheeru’s Radha forever. Hiba Nawab’s performance in this scene was outstanding and certainly one of her best.

5) Cheeru, Kanha and Nakul hold hands: Saroj is shattered when she learns about Cheeru and Sayuri’s relationship and calls the Sharmas home to make them leave Agra forever. Though she welcomes them in her haveli, she doesn’t leave any opportunity to taunt them. That’s when Cheeru holds Kanha’s hands and Kanha holds Nakul’s showing that come what may they will always stand by each other and support each other. This is one of the most powerful and heart-warming scenes of the show. It will make you want to have that kind of bond with your siblings, the undying love which knows no bounds, and the trust that is far from any judgments. Anuj Sachdeva plays the perfect Cheeru bhaiya, while Shaheer is outstanding as Kanha, and Kinshuk Vaidya is undeniably excellent as Nakul.

The show is high on drama and will keep you hooked with the new twists and turns and should not be missed.

“Woh Toh Hai Albelaa” also features Sachin Tyagi, Pallavi Pradhan, Sucheta Khanna, Mehul Buch, Nayan Bhatt, Somesh Agarwal, Suruchi Adarkar, Rachi Sharma and Vaishnavi Ganatra. It airs on Star Bharat, Monday to Friday at 9 p.m.
