Remember the last scene from Sridevi and Kamal Haasan-starrer “Sadma” where the late actress gets better and leaves for her home in a train, and the actor tries his best that she remembers who he is. Wasn’t it heartbreaking to see him like that? Well, Himansh Kohli did something similar in his recent music video “Wafa na raas aayee” and it will leave you with a heavy heart.
The actor plays a Kashmiri shikara driver in the song and falls for a tourist. He confesses his love for her too, but she leaves without acknowledging it. The video starts with a heartbroken Himansh waiting for guests for his shikara when the same girl returns with her husband and chooses to go on his shikara. The pain in his eyes says it all and can actually be felt. He maintains it throughout the video which shows how devastated he was after she left him.
Also, the last scene where he runs behind her car so that she remembers him is too heavy to be put in words. As far as his looks go, he has portrayed the role of a Kashmiri boy with panache. He is sporting a checked woolen kurta with a black muffler around his neck, and his slightly long hair and beard adds to his character. “Wafa Na Raas Aayee” has garnered over 80 million views on YouTube. Crooned by Jubin Nautiyal, the song has been composed by Meet Brothers, and also features Arushi Nishank. This is his second music video of the year after “Main Jis Din Bhulaa Du”, which was also by Jubin.
