Kumkum Bhagya, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, Hum Hain Na, Jay Bharti, and Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhaari-fame actor Manmohan Tiwari, who is currently seen in Mishri, believe it’s very important to be content in one’s life. He also feels that for someone who is in the creative field, contentment is an ongoing process.

He said, “Peace and satisfaction are very important. In today’s world, being content is important because in the world we live in and the world we work in, the creative world of TV, film, and cinema, we can never come to a point where we can say, ‘This is fine, this is over. Okay, now you have achieved it.’ You never truly achieve it; you are always in the process. Being part of that process is very important, and staying happy is essential.”

He also pointed out that success is not a final destination; it is a journey, and happiness has nothing to do with it. “Today you achieve something; tomorrow you will achieve something else. From morning until night, when you do good work, maintain good relationships, and respect your relationships, friends, and work, that is success. And happiness is a combination of satisfaction and peace. It means that you have done your work honestly, given time to your family honestly, cooked food honestly, and eaten honestly. That is happiness,” he said.

“Also, happiness is not just related to yourself. Happiness is something you relate to others. When your children are happy, when your spouse is happy, and when people feel joy seeing you, your parents are happy, and they see that you are doing well and are happy—that is true happiness. Happiness is not just about earning a lot of money or getting good work and being happy because of it. Happiness is when my family is happy seeing me; when my friends are happy, that is happiness,” he added.

Manmohan also pointed out that happiness has different levels and brings different levels of peace. “Happiness has its own level of peace. Just as good work provides a certain level of happiness and peace, getting drenched in the rain or just watching the rain also brings a different kind of happiness, and its importance lies in that moment. If the rain stops my work, it’s not good, and if I can’t enjoy the rain while working, that’s also not good. So, everything has its own importance,” he said.

“If you can’t enjoy being with your family, even if you’re doing good work and enjoying the rain, but your family isn’t included, then I think that’s not happiness. Every happiness has its own boundary and its own expression. It has its own place and is found in that moment. If I’m on a shooting period for 12 hours, I will only find happiness if I do good work. When I am at home, playing with my children, spending time with my family, talking to my parents, and taking care of them, that’s happiness for me,” he added.

Can you share moments from your personal and professional lives when you genuinely felt happy? “When my daughter was born, it took me to the next level of happiness. That is something indescribable, beyond words, a speechless feeling that I can’t fully explain,” Manmohan ended.
