All I can say to the frontline workers is – Hats Off: Irfan Siddiqui

Ever since the pandemic broke out, the frontline workers have ensured that our near and dear ones get the timely health treatment they need, that we do not stay without electricity, that the garbage is disposed off every day, global and local supply chains continue and life carries on. There is really no word to describe the tremendous work they have been doing round the clock.
Last year noted lyricist Irfan Siddiqui thanked them in his own way by penning a song — Tahe Dil Se Shukriya — dedicated to the frontline workers. The music video touched many hearts.

Speaking about his unique tribute, Irfan says, “It was something that I really wanted to do. This was my way of saying thank you to the tremendous effort they were all undertaking. I decided to do it along with my friend Chintan Pavlankar, who runs a social media agency. Rangon composed it and Dhrriti sang the song. Both of them did a great job. I am happy that people have liked the song and I could convey my feelings through my writing.”

The celebrities who were part of the video are Dhrriti Saharan, Srishty Rode, Heli Daruwala, Gulfam Khan Hussain, Shefali Jariwala, Adnan Shaikh, Simple Kaul, Addite Malik, Faisal Shaikh Arjun Bijlani ,Shayan Siddiqui and Reem Shaikh.

Commenting on the frontline workers and their support Irfan adds, “The only thing I can tell the frontline workers is – Hats Off. Whenever I write any cause-based songs, it always gives me a lot of satisfaction. I am looking forward to write more cause based songs and hoping my lyrics bring out the right emotions.”
This year Irfan has come out with another new song titled Jazaak Allah. Talking about his latest collaboration with Salim-Sulaiman in Jazaak Allah, he adds, “Muslims say Jazakallah instead of thanks. It means ‘may God reward you with goodness’. Jazaak Allah is an ode to all the Covid warriors who are working relentlessly and selflessly for humanity.”
