Kavitta Verma: My parents’ learnings resonate in my mind every time I decide to give up

Losing her family nearly broke actress Kavitta Verma, who took some time off to grieve and heal herself. However, the actress who achieved great success with her movie Police Giri as well as Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana has mustered up unthinkable courage and decided to step into the battlefield of work again.

“In my journey many opportunities came at a time when I was losing my entire family. So, I chose my family over work at that time. Now I am dusting my knees to fight back again, after losing everyone,” she says, adding, “I have had my share of struggles and films in my career so far, but it’s just a journey and I wish to continue to grow.”

She says that she can never choose to give up. “Giving up is a mindset one encounters at one point or another. I did too but my dad and mom’s learnings resonate in my mind and I brace myself again. Security is again a mindset, being honest is the only security you have. At the end of the day, it is about making good memories and living life to the fullest till you are alive,” she says.

She adds, “More than drive, one needs to be consistent and have a positive mindset. Each one has a path in their own hurdles. I am ambition-oriented, that’s why I’m here. I have lost some opportunities and gained some. But I still have miles to go. An actor has no limit to be better, it’s a process.”

Ask her what has been the toughest part of her career till now, and she says, “The toughest part of a creative field is it’s ever changing atmosphere. You need to keep moving, even if the situation is tough.”
