While most of us are busy scrolling through various apps, Mumbai boys Ayush Sankaran & Jashith Narang are busy with developing new ones. To educate and create awareness about climate change both Ayush and Jashith developed an app that would raise the consciousness of environmental degradation and the adverse consequences of global heating on the ecosystem. This weekend on BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2 11-year-old Ayush and 10-year-old Jashith will be seen indulged in fun moments with versatile actor Kay Kay Menon on the show.
With a thought, if Greta Thunberg could start a revolution just by starting a conversation, they too can use their skills to educate others. Motivated by active climatologist, Greta, Ayush, and Jashith aimed to educate smartphone users of the ill effects of climate change through their app. Actor Kay Kay Menon who is a vivid environment lover himself will be seen praising the boys for their work and further motivating them. He too will go on to unveil an unknown about him sharing he too plants trees wherever possible as his contribution towards the environment.
Commenting on his appearance on the show, Kay Kay Menon shared, “I’m happy to be a part of BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2 and meet these exceptional talented kids. Ayush and Jashith are not only educating others through their app but have also motivated me to think about our ecosystem and do whatever is possible in my way. I’m sure Ayush and Jashith will be an inspiration to many other youngsters.”
Ayush and Jashith bagged the first prize in the ‘Youth Team’ segment of ‘People’s Choice’ category in the MIT App Inventor Hackathon 2020. Ayush and Jashith have won MIT Hackathon (known as Appathon) for 2 years in a row, which had 300+ participants from across the globe.
BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2 is a News18 initiative that inspires young prodigies from different fields across the country. This new season features prodigies aged 6-15 years showcasing their superlative achievements, in a vibrant new avatar. These 22 geniuses have been chosen from 20,000+ aspiring and inspiring child prodigies across India from different fields such as performing arts, academics, technology, and sports, to name a few.
