Kushagre Dua who was recently seen playing the negative lead Sunny in Mehendi Hai Rachnewali on Star Plus, is gearing up for his next project Campus Diaries. He will again be seen as the bad boy Aditya but shares that there’s a stark difference between Sunny and Aditya. Kushagre reveals, “I am playing a senior student in the college who is good looking and is very influential as his father works in the education ministry.
He doesn’t attend college at all, he leaves home for college but instead goes to his den- a 2 bhk flat that he has rented. Wahan par friends ke sath full-on aayashi karta hai, so, basically he is a Casanova. Jis ladki par dil aa jata hai usko girlfriend banata hi hai. And this isn’t love, just his casonava self who dates the hottest girls of college. For him it’s clear if the girl is hot and good looking, she has to be with him, that’s a trait of his alongside his egoistic and dominating nature.” He continues, “To be honest, I was skeptical to take up Sunny but not Aditya because this is a character I wanted to explore.
This being my debut show, I was glad to do a role so different and prominent and something that I am not in real life. So in the show Aditya and Sushmita (who is my girlfriend) have a very toxic relationship, they fight a lot and not just verbally but also physically. And I know audience will hate me for this, and I seriously want that audience should hate me for this thing, because that would mean I am justifying my character well and portraying it perfectly. I hope that audience will be able to connect with my character and will acknowledge my craft and my skills as people have not seen me in playing a violent character.”
