Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul actor Sheezan Khan, who was last seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi, says makeup is not gender-specific. He believes doing makeup is a choice, and it is not compulsory for everyone to do it.
He said, “It’s not that makeup is only for women. Anyone who feels like it can use it. Anyone who wants to present a better version of themselves out there can use it. I have no problem with a man or woman using it. Being an actor, even I use makeup, so who am I to judge? And neither should anyone judge or comment on them.”
Sharing his personal experience, he added, “When I’m facing the camera, I have done makeup so that my scars or patches are not visible, but only for the camera.”
Though he mentioned that there are some people who leave the house wearing makeup, he feels it is one’s choice, and we are no one to stop them. “I feel I want to show my real face because scars show your real journey. It is okay to have scars,” he said.
Sheezan pointed out that he has never seen many actors apply makeup when they are not on the job, and added, “Never ever in my interviews or outings have I worn makeup because I support realness and I know I am not perfect, and that is me. And that is how I love being myself.”
