Nara Thai will support Save the Children’s Dream Accelerator Initiative through its #HalfGlassFull Campaign

Mumbai, 20th April 2022: Commemorating the essence of Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year that embraces goodwill, love, compassion and thankfulness, Nara Thai, Thailand’s popular restaurant now open in Mumbai, is celebrating its #HalfGlassFull campaign with leading child rights NGO Save the Children. Their half empty glasses inhibit their achievements, growth and potential.

During its previous celebration, this campaign has called for attention to conserving water. This year, between 20th April and 20th May, 2022 using the power of people to transform lives, the campaign will support Save the Children’s Dream Accelerator initiative to highlight the lack of access and opportunities that India’s children from marginalized communities face. Nara Thai will welcome patrons to dine in and donate to this heartwarming cause. To that end, a portion of the proceeds collected this month will go towards the Dream Accelerator Initiative to create a future where all children gain equal access to opportunities while achieving their full, true potential.

Dia Mirza, Actor, Producer, Artist Ambassador, Save the Children (also UNEP Goodwill Ambassador & UN Secretary-General’s Advocate for SDGs) will bring the event to life at the restaurant with several of the NGOs children accompanying her. Speaking on the launch of the campaign, Dia said, “Our hope is to generate action and much needed funds to assist these children in their journeys. Save the Children has already championed 1500 children who are on their way to realizing their purpose as changemakers in their communities. From engaging with these child champions to empowering them, these children have received many accolades from notable platforms like the UNV, the UNGA, the Nari Shakti Awards, and more.”

When: From 20th April to 20th May’22
Where: Nara Thai Colaba and BKC
