It was her love for storytelling that motivated actress Nazia to start acting. Nazia, who was recently seen in the movie Tipppsy, says that she always loved the thrill of performance.
“I’ve always been fascinated by storytelling and the ability to transform into different characters. From a young age, I loved performing in school plays and the idea of connecting with people through my performances and evoking emotions in the audience drew me to acting. All my projects so far have been best projects but my recent movie Tipppsy is more special to me as it challenged me as an actress and allowed me to explore new depths in my craft. The character of Iris was complex and relatable, making it a truly rewarding experience,” she says.
Ask her how her acting style has changed over the years, and she says, “Over the years, my acting style has become more nuanced and grounded. I focus now on emphasizing emotional truth and authenticity. I’ve learned to trust my instincts more and immerse myself completely in my characters. Each role teaches me something new, and I constantly strive to grow and refine my craft.”
She adds, “If I could, I would tell my younger self to be patient and resilient. The industry can be tough, and there will be moments of doubt and rejection. But it’s important to stay true to your passion and keep working hard. I’d also remind myself to enjoy the journey and not just focus on the destination. Every experience, whether good or bad, contributes to personal and professional growth.”
She says that acting is no easy feat. “Acting is often perceived as glamorous and easy, but there’s a lot of hard work and dedication involved. It requires continuous learning, emotional vulnerability, and resilience. There are long hours, intense preparation, and sometimes, physical and mental challenges. I wish more people understood the depth of commitment and passion that goes into each performance. It’s not just about delivering lines; it’s about creating a believable and compelling character.”
