As India celebrates its 76th Independence Day this year, TV actor Ankit Siwach discusses patriotism and what it means to him. Read on.

On March 12, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ a Government of India program to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence. This initiated a 75-week countdown to our 75th Independence Day anniversary. It implies that India will celebrate its 76th Independence Day on August 15, 2022, after completing 75 years of independence.

TV actor Ankit Siwach shared his views on patriotism and says, “To take a stand for what is right, follow equality in all senses, to respect every living being, and have an ethical approach towards life. It makes you a better human, a better citizen, and far more patriotic than what a stereotypical patriot is.”
