Actor Shardul Pandit, who plays a cameo role as Aadi in Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, says that he loves how apt the title of the show is. The actor says that the show has a very unique and promising story.
“I mean that’s the actual feeling if one is in love with werewolves and vampires, toh ghayal to honge hi ishq mein. What’s unique about the show is that it’s on Colors, and it’s a very young concept. If you see abroad, all vampire shows are a hit with the youth, even the casting is unique,” he says.
Talking about his character, he says, “I am Aadi, who was in love with Kavya, and who cares two hoots about her protectors Arman and Veer. He is obsessed with her. How can one relate to a guy who flies, has fangs and is 100 year old! (laughs) I don’t relate to him, but I am an actor and I can act without relating to a werewolf!”
Ask him about how he prepared for the character, and he says, “I did literally nothing! How do you prepare for a supernatural being who is in love with the heroine and hates the heroes! All I did was chill with Karan on sets and do my scenes like a dedicated actor.”
Talking about working with Yash and Mamta Patnaik (Inspire Films), he says, “The reason I agreed to do a cameo is because of Yash and Mamta, they were the producers who brought me back to fiction. I have huge respect and fondness for them.’
Thrillers is a great genre today, but this can change soon, says the actor, adding, “The thing about trends is that they keep changing. I don’t believe in trends. I believe in having fun and working with good people,” he says, adding, “However, I mean there is no denying that this is a big show with a big cast and hopefully big ratings!”
