FNP media has recently announced their June month’s short films schedule and on 11th June a film titled #RedShirt is due for release. The Creative Producer and Showrunner of the film Shefali Singh is confident about the end result and says, ”A good story works in any format. #RedShirt is a very well executed project and I am very proud of my team.”

Shefali’s unconventional journey started sometime back. After practising law in the High Court, Allahabad, she worked with Wizcraft Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. as an in-house lawyer. Gradually she realized that the time had come to live her dreams. “I come from Allahabad, U.P and since childhood, I felt a deep connection with films. My family is full of academicians and I was expected to do the same. Through my school and college days I was actively organizing & participating in cultural activities, sports & moot courts. I have the State Championship in gymnastics.”

She further adds, ”I have never been to a film school, all my learning has happened on shooting sets. My first project as a creative producer was a music video titled Teri Tareef which was not only conceptualized by me but I have also featured myself in the music video, which went on MTV indies prime time. Afterwards I worked in advertising where I conceptualized & produced digital films & TVCs for some big brands. #RedShirt is my first short film and it is a sci-fi thriller (genre). We have shot it in the pandemic with extreme caution & safety abidance. Himanshu Tyagi (Director), Osama Siddiqui (Writer), Titas Bose (Creative) and Shashwat Kauraw (Vfx) are extremely talented and their work in the project is exemplary.”

Speaking about her family Shefali says,”My family is still not convinced with my choice of this new field as it is not easy to sustain in the industry when you are an outsider. But I am on the right path and bound to leave a mark with my work.”

Shefali is also making a mini-series with FNP media in the coming month.
