Some people have an issue with being labeled as TV actors, but I don’t: Hina Bajpai

Hina Bajpai, who is seen as Rashi in Ravindra Gautam and Raghuvir Shekhawat’s Dahej Daasi, which is produced under their banner Do Dooni 4 Films, says she is happy to be associated with the TV industry and is proud of being referred to as a TV actor. In fact, she prefers doing family drama on-screen.

“Some people have an issue with being labeled as TV actors, but I don’t. I never had much interest in movies from the start. I’m married and not from a big city; I’m from Lucknow, and we live in a normal joint family. My marriage is in Shahjahanpur, near Lucknow, where my husband’s family also lives together. I actually like this setup.
Nowadays, movies and web series often present very bold content, which I can’t do. I’m happy doing Saas-bahu serials,” she said.

“It’s not due to family pressure; I simply prefer these kinds of shows. They’re easier to manage, and there are no issues with my family. Personally, I can’t do certain scenes or roles, and that’s my own choice. So, I’m happy to be labeled as a TV actor,” she added.

Hina also said that the best part about working on TV is having a fixed shift, and added, “Going to the set every day feels like moving from one home to another for me. Everything is very nice, and the stories are always different and new. There is always some drama being created, and sometimes you have to switch zones suddenly.”

She further said, “Your character is always changing; it’s not like you’ll always play the same straightforward role. This change in characters and acting is enjoyable. Different serials have different characters, and playing those various roles is a lot of fun.”
