Splice Taps Into Creator Community to “Flip” Popular Aaroh Sample Packs from South Asia

by team metro

NEW YORK, NY – June 19, 2024) – Late last year, the music platform Splice introduced Aaroh, a new collection of samples featuring sounds from South Asia. Musicians worldwide quickly started using Aaroh samples to create new music. Splice chose four standout artists to create new collections using Aaroh samples.

The Aaroh Flipped collections include music by four emerging artists of Indian and South Asian descent: Subb-an, Nayana Iz, Tev’N, and Tsunaina. Each artist reworked their favorite Aaroh samples into unique tracks. Subb-an’s collection is already available, with Nayana Iz and Tev’N’s set to release on June 24, and Tsunaina’s on July 22. Additionally, Splice’s in-house producers, Ayesha and Baalti, made their own Aaroh Flipped packs. Ayesha’s is available now, and Baalti’s will be released on June 18.

“One of the best parts of working at Splice is seeing how artists transform our sounds in creative ways,” said Dani DiCiaccio, Vice President of Content at Splice. “Our subscribers loved the Aaroh sounds we released last November and made amazing new tracks from them. Some were so good, we decided to create special collections called ‘Aaroh Flipped.’ We think people will really enjoy these new takes on Aaroh.”

The original Aaroh label launched last November with five sample packs showcasing the rich musical styles and instruments of South Asia.

Splice offers 28 different sample labels with over 130 genres, including Amapiano, UK Drill, and this year’s popular Phonk sound
