Manmohan Tiwari, who has been a part of shows like “Kumkum Bhagya,” “Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya,” and “Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhaari,” and is currently seen in “Mishri” and “Gehna: Zevar Ya Zanjeer”, says the acting industry involves a lot of risks. However, he believes that the more one thinks about these risks, the more they worry. He said, “When it comes to risk in this industry and the acting line, there’s always risk. But I feel that the more you think about this risk, the more you worry. There comes a time when you choose your options—deciding which roles to take and which to avoid. Then there’s a time when roles come to you, and it’s up to you how well you perform them, how much fame you bring to them, and how much you contribute to them.”

As an actor, he believes in adding to his craft through input, dedication, and talent to make the character interesting. He added, “This has been my approach in life, whether it’s for ‘Kumkum Bhagya,’ ‘Pratigya,’ or ‘Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhaari.’ In all the TV characters I’ve played, if I were to grade them on a scale from 1 to 10, if they started at a 3, I aimed to take them to a 6, 7, or even 8.”

His goal has always been to improve what he has been offered. “I believe that at this stage of my career, I am more selective. If I feel something isn’t right for me, I politely decline. But if I see even a little scope, I take that risk and do my best to enhance it,” he said.

Manmohan shared that he plays the role of an aged man in his ongoing show “Mishri,” which airs on Colors. For the character, he has put on a belly and dyed his hair. “I have put my utmost effort into accepting this challenge on TV, which is something people usually do in films or web series. I took it up on TV, hoping it would click with the audience, and the response I’m seeing is mind-blowing,” he said.

“You can feel it not only from the audience’s reactions but also from the vibe on set. Your cameraman, your lights crew, your makeup artists, and your spot boys—all these people make you realize whether you are on the right track or not. I’m feeling it, and everyone around me confirms that my character is being well-received,” he concluded.
