Vineet Raina, who was seen as Dev Shikhawat in Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which is produced under the banner Director’s Kut Production, believes that a positive environment on the set yields positive results; however, one cannot expect it to be the same everywhere. He says instead of hanging on to such expectations, he keeps himself positive and focused and doesn’t indulge in anything negative.
“Though a positive environment is always healthy and brings the best, we can’t expect every set to be the same. Since I believe expectations give birth to disappointments, I always prefer to stay focused and positive, keep check on work ethics, stay respectful towards each person in the unit, and consciously never indulge in anything that brings even a fraction of negativity into the work environment,” he said.
“If everyone follows the same path, every set environment can become a heavenly place. Every form of art and an artist should have equal and mutual respect for each other,” he added.
Looking back at his journey, he calls it an amazing experience, where he has worked with the top producers, directors, and channels, and all the shows he has been a part of so far have been hits. He added, “I have never let myself be typecast, but I experimented with the roles I chose, opted for different genres, and I always believed in being strictly professional on the sets, putting in my best effort, arriving before time on sets, and working till my production unit demanded whenever required without complaints, and that’s how I could always work with the best.”
He further said, “Though I also believe that my journey has just begun and there is so much to achieve, I definitely will and will contribute to my entertainment industry till my last breath.”
Vineet also stressed that being ambitious and driven towards the goal is absolutely important, but it’s also important to not be overly ambitious. He said, “Sailing through the journey towards the goal with calm consciousness, focus, professionalism, and positivity always puts one on the righteous path to attain success rather than taking shortcuts and not taking your course seriously.”
“Continuous skill sharpening, patience, hard work, and professionalism are most important. The best and biggest things take time and a lot of hard work to happen,” he added.
So do you take opportunities as they come? “Opportunities are the answers to your manifestations and hard work. Every opportunity should be answered and attended, but also assessed thoroughly while keeping your priorities and choices in mind. Opportunities come with choices; hence, they should be chosen wisely,” he ended.
