It has been a year since lockdown was implemented in India due to the pandemic and our lives have definitely changed in more ways than one. Udaan co-actors and friends Vijayendra Kumeria and Meera Deosthale share that the lockdown led them to reaccess certain things and also implement certain changes in their lives.
“I have understood one thing that mental health is as important as physical health. I started meditation during the lockdown and now it is a part of my daily routine. And I must admit that had strengthened me from inside,” says Kumeria, also known for shows such as Tumhari Paakhi, Shastri Sisters and Naagin 5 and currently seen as lead in Aapki Nazro Ne Samjha produced by Full House Media (Sonali and Amir Zaffar)
Deosthale, who was last seen in Vidya, shares that initially when the lockdown started she was on full vacation mood.
“I used to sleep at 4 am- 5 am, used to watch Netflix and everything but then six months down the line I figured that it’s not a healthy lifestyle. So I started concentrating on my sleep timing, eating and workout habit to make sure I am more productive. Since there was not much work maintaining a healthy mind and staying positive was also important. I also tried reading books and started spending more time with family,” she adds.
Given the present situation, everyone is hoping and praying for this time to get over soon. And once things get better they are looking forward to doing things that they had the freedom to enjoy in pre-covid times. Kumeria and Deosthale too have two things in mind each that they want to do when the situation turns better.
“I want to travel the world with my family. I also want to go for a road trip from Kashmir to Kanyakumari all by myself,” says Kumeria aka Darsh of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha.
Deosthale, on her part, adds that she is satisfied with the life that she has lived so far. That has been one of the major realisations during this crisis for her.
“I want to work more, achieve greater success, do a lot more things… Recently, I went on a trip to Maldives. I’m very scared of deep waters and heights but then one afternoon I decided to overcome my fears. So I went ahead got myself an instructor and went snorkeling in deep water. I swam with the sharks, literally. I panicked and was super scared but it was an experience of a lifetime. I want to have such impromptu experiences and adventures in my life. And there are a lot of things which I want to do before I draw an end to it,” says Deosthale, who has been a part of TV shows such as Sasural Simar Ka, Zindagi Wins and Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls.
