Hiphop/R&B-inspired girl group, XG today announced the release of their long-awaited 1st Mini Album. “GRL GVNG” is to be the first track from this mini album, released on June 30.
In January this year, XG released both “SHOOTING STAR” and “LEFT RIGHT”, which went viral worldwide, hitting the Spotify Viral Top 100 chart in 46 countries and regions, including the US, the UK, Japan, Korea as well as the global chart. The tracks made a huge impact globally, charting in 25 countries and regions, including #1 in the UK, Canada, and Japan, and #3 in the U.S. on YouTube’s Fastest Rising Chart. “LEFT RIGHT” also became the first track by a female Japanese artist or group to chart on the Mediabase Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart in the US, and at 13 consecutive weeks, is the longest-running charting track for an Asian girl group.
In May of this year, XG performed for the first time in Japan at KCON JAPAN 2023, one of the world’s largest K-culture festivals. They also performed for the first time at the Head In The Clouds New York Music & Arts Festival, a large-scale music festival organized by 88rising, to the great excitement of their fans in New York.
“GRL GVNG”, which will be released on June 30, heralds XG’s 1st Mini Album. The track expresses XG’s unity, which only grows stronger through the challenges they face:

XG are a seven member HipHop/R&B-inspired girls group consisting of JURIN, CHISA, HARVEY, HINATA, JURIA, MAYA and COCONA.
The group debuted on March 2022 with their 1st single “Tippy Toes” from XGALX, a global entertainment production company that introduces BOLD culture to the world and produces artists with a unique world view.
In June of the same year, they released their 2nd Single “MASCARA”. They released their 3rd Single “SHOOTING STAR” on January 25, 2023.
The groups name “XG” stands for “Xtraordinary Girls.
Through their unconventional and unique style of music and performance, they will empower people from all walks of life around the world.
