In celebration of World Health Day on April 7, KINK season 1 winner Varsha Hegde shares her insights on the importance of incorporating fitness into daily life. Known for her dedication to a healthy lifestyle, Hegde emphasizes the significance of balanced nutrition and regular physical activity.
“Fitness is not just about hitting the gym; it’s a lifestyle,” says Varsha. “Whether it’s making mindful food choices or engaging in exercise, it’s essential to prioritize our health every day.”
In her message, Varsha dismisses the notion of strict dieting, instead advocating for a more holistic approach to wellness. “Dieting is simply about eating right,” she explains. “It’s crucial to listen to our bodies and choose foods that nourish us, steering clear of those that cause discomfort or allergies.”
Highlighting the challenges posed by modern dietary habits and sedentary lifestyles, Hegde underscores the importance of processing food properly and staying active. “In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the quality of our nutrition and the need for regular exercise,” she notes. “But investing in our health is an investment in our future.”
Varsha stresses the significance of moderation, recommending a balanced routine that includes adequate sleep, yoga, stretching, and a two-hour workout session. She also advocates for early dinners, ideally between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m., and advises against excessive sugar consumption and processed foods.
“Small changes can make a big difference,” Hegde concludes. “Let’s commit to prioritizing our health, not just today on World Health Day, but every day.”
As World Health Day encourages global awareness and action on pressing health issues, Varsha’s message serves as a timely reminder of the importance of adopting healthy habits for a better, more fulfilling life.
