Abheyy S Attri is a known TV actor and has worked in various shows the most popular of them being Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The actor who has worked prominently on TV has been missing from the small screen for quite some time now. We got in touch with Abheyy S Attri to know about him missing from TV and Mumbai. Abheyy S Attri shares, “Well, no, I haven’t quit TV and certainly not Mumbai. Yes, because of covid the things were slow and I was busy with a couple of things so that’s why couldn’t take up a show. And then there have been a lot of family commitments, so me and my wife, Drishti have been travelling consistently, so that’s your answer for missing from Mumbai.” We further probed if this distance from TV like many other actors is to get rid of the label of the ‘TV Actor’, Abheyy shares, “See, TV has it’s own fun, series has it’s own fun and film has it’s own fun. These three are very different mediums and each has a very different process, approval and reach. TV is something you shoot for every day, go daily on sets, play a character and come back home. It’s a daily routine, you kind of live that character for 12-13 hours every day. And since we all know that telecast is a major issue, we don’t have time to prepare or improvise ir enhance the character, but that’s the beauty of TV. When it comes to a film, it’s a max 3 hour journey, wherein an entire story has to be laid out in front of the audiences. There are workshops and time to prepare for your character and work on yourself as an actor but the limitation of 3 hours in which all the characters as well as the story needs to be established, gives a little less time frame to each character. In a series, you shoot for a certain period of days and can elaborate and play the character as you have enough time to prepare and add your own nuances to the character. Series are like 8-12 episodes, so you get a huge playground to play and establish your character over the episodes. I would choose any medium that gives me a good character ti perform because at the end acting is my passion. It’s just that the timing has to be correct. For a TV serial, you need to take out a lot of time. When it comes to series, at a time you can do 2 series, or you can either do 1 series and 1 film as well. But if you are doing a TV serial, it’s very hard to take out time in between and do some series or a film for that matter because your dates are completely blocked. So it’s all about time management and choosing what role and story an actor likes, so we need to stop comparing the mediums as each is different from the other and it is every actor’s personal choice to select where do they want to be seen.”
